Inside Overdrive

Monday September 22, 2008 - Saturday, September 20th started early for a few of our Overdrive folks. We started the day as early as 05:30 AM, at Spirit Rock, getting ready for the 2008 Hall County Start! Heart Walk. Festivities began at 09:00 AM and didn't wrap up until noon! Hall County Georgia rose over $95,000.00 in support of the American Heart Association Saturday... and the number keeps climbing! Thanks to all who contributed to this worthy cause.



Sabrina Dabney (accounting) headed up the Overdrive Team as team captain again this year. She also organized a silent auction so that employee's who would not be able to attend could participate. Kudos goes out to Sabrina for all of her hard work!

Stephanie Williams (accounting) represented Overdrive on the Heart Walk Committee for the second year and served water at the Hydration Station along with Sabrina, her daughter Gabby, and Brooke Copeland (daughter of VP, Gary Copeland).



In spite of the economic downfall this year, the turnout for the event exceeded that in attendance at the 2007 Walk. There were over 1,400 at Saturday's event and donations are continuing to come in. Without the help and support of Hall County, our customers & vendors, this successful event would not have been possible.

Donations were also received from Overdrive Logistics, Inc. A heartfelt donation in memory of Gary Henson was received along with a matching gift from Overdrive which matched all proceeds raised dollar for dollar. Overdrive surpassed their goal raising a total of $2,706.76! Great Job Overdrive!!!
